Portrait Photos

This photo was taken in the morning so the light was directly in the subjects face. I blurred the photo then used the brush tool to make the features pop.
I feel like in this photo the contrast ratio is great. Also I feel like the color is good too. If I could change something in this photo, I would have taken it from farther away with more zoom to create a depth of field shot. I am surprised about how well the photo turned out overall.

This photo was also taken in the morning so the light was more direct. I brightened the background and its colors. I darkened the subject but made the colors more vibrant. I also added a lens flare in the background.
I thought the overall picture was okay. I feel like the colors turned out well and same with the lens flare. I wish i would have focused a little more on the sun so the subject would be darker though. I was surprised how the background turned out, originally the background was just a bunch of white with weird tones of a really light blue, almost white. I adjusted the vibrance of the photo and the background completely changed.

This photo was also taken in the morning so the sun light was more direct. I changed the contrast so the lights where brighter and the darks were darker. I also added a orange colored tone to it.
I thought this photo turned out great. The contrast was good, the color was great, and i felt like everything looked great in this photo. I wouldn't of changed anything.

Artist Statement

I create art because it brings joy to me when I get a great shot, it motivates me to keep going to find another. Something that inspires me is seeing an amazing shot of something, it makes me want to try and get a shot like it. I have made some snowboard shots and ones of my dog too. I would like to make sequence shots for snowboarding and skiing.
The Photographer im analysing is Dan Carr. His Photos are about Snowboarding, Skiing, mountain biking, landscape and people. The masking tool is being used to create sequence shots. A lighting tool is also being used. He uses great angles and point of views to create amazing action shots.
